Do dental chews replace brushing my dog’s teeth?

Dental chews are a great addition to a pet's dental health home regimen, however, should not solely replace brushing of the teeth and regular examinations by your vet! If you cannot brush your dog's teeth, a dental chew is a safe option to provide some mechanical and chemical action against plaque along the gumline. Brushing and chews should also not replace a proper dental cleaning with your vet when recommended, but more so be used as a proactive measure at home in between.
